Website makeover to meet standards
A long standing hosting client who appreciates the benefits of keeping up with web technology, has recently had his website overhauled to bring it into line with the W3C standards.

James Falconbridge had his website ( www.producerjames.com ) given a thorough recoding by Ian Dore Creative to bring it into line with W3C standards which makes it more appealing to the end user and the all important search engines. Although already on the excellent WordPress platform the theme he had been previously using, although very nice looking, was very buggy and was throwing out invalid code. We built a new site from the ground up using the existing look and imagery to produce a valid, cleaner, faster performing website.
As we know W3C standards are important to keep up on and the search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo do take the code into consideration when it comes to ranking. With accessibly and functionality being two very key things at the moment, you may wish to run your website through a validating process. The best checking website for this is http://validator.w3.org/
If it throws up lots of errors ( frankly even 1! ) then you should do your very best to resolve them. You can bet your bottom dollar that your competition will be. I’ll do a full post on the importance of website validation but in the meantime, James is just one of the lucky ones who gets a green light and full pass!
