Vectis Radio – A statement
Its been brought to my attention that some people think or have been lead to think that I have ( or have had ) some sort of financial investment / involvement / presenting role or any other kind of role with Vectis Radio or Wight FM. Utter cobblers dear reader.
Let’s cover the latter first as it’s much quicker. I was a guest on the Alex Dyke show late in July 2009. I was there talking about the moon landings as it was the 40th anniversary. That’s that.
This next one is the real cause for concern and the area I am very keen to get to the bottom of it. September of 2009 I was asked by a friend to register two domain names on his behalf for a new internet project called, Vectis Radio. Being a web guru and all round good bloke, I did. Here is the official timeline of my involvement, which incidentally, was in a web design capacity ONLY.

I registered the domain names that they had asked for. These have subsequently been transferred away from my business.

I met with Ian Mac in Cowes to discuss the Vectis Radio website. This was my only meeting with Mr Mac and my only interest was the website. Notes were taken, thoughts were recorded but no agreements were made and no contracts were signed.

Whilst considering the project, on their request I created various email addresses.

After giving it much consideration and thought, I informed Vectis Radio management that this was not the project for me and that I would not be taking it any further. I wished them all the best and as a gesture of goodwill, I provided an additional 4 weeks email usage and hosting free of charge. This gave them plenty of time to find a new host.
Aside from the administration of transferring the domain names, there ended my association, connection, relationship and business dealings with Vectis Radio and Ian Mac.
It transpires that over the last few months I have been led to believe that there are a number of varying stories relating to the above and it sounds like the truth of this matter has been distorted somewhat. This has had the ugly result of me being portrayed in an unprofessional and negative light.
If you have heard differently from the sequence of events listed above, please let me know and I shall treat it with the strictest confidence. I wish to clarify the authenticity of these disturbing rumours one way or another before, deciding on any future action.
