Southwest Radio in Administration

For many it was believed that this day would eventually come. Recently we have seen alot of movement on companies house with regards Southwest Radio LTD. Lindsay Reeve ( wife of Nigel Reeve ) resigned as a director and Paul Roberts was appointed as a director of Laser ( South West ) Broadcasting LTD. He also came off air this week. The subsideries of South West Radio LTD means that Bath FM, Brunel FM, 3TR and the 2 Quaywest stations will go into administration. They will then be sold to the highest bidder.



One can only guess who that could be or who else could be involved. It is almost a year ago that Nigel Reeve put Laser Broadcasting LTD into administration following a winding up order on the business. Staff were told at all stations that Nigel Reeve would not be involved in anyway with South West Radio LTD. However he later appeared as a director for Bath FM and Brunel FM. His company ( Nando Consultants ) which he runs with his wife Lindsay, were then engaged by Southwest Radio LTD.


So what happens next? Will we see a pre-packed set of stations sold to the highest bidder that may just have Roberts / Reeve connections? Or will the stations be split up and sold individually? Only time will tell. One thing is for sure, the brand and the credibility of Paul Roberts and anyone attached to Southwest Radio LTD has just been destroyed and peoples houses, careers and health have been put in an avoidable cross fire.


Luckily all my friends got out at the right time and there are no original members to go down with the sinking ship. That said, I do feel sorry for those that didn’t see the light. It is with a heavy sadness that I know that you are about to walk a path that I have been trudging for over 11 months now. Good luck to you all.
